Your local Māori guide will immerse you in the history and culture of Rotorua and Tauranga. We travel through the forests of the Bay of Plenty to Rotorua to the geothermal valley at Whakarewarewa. There, you will be entertained by the local Māori performers who tell the local stories through their actions and song. Feel the impact that  European settlement had on our ancestors. Your Māori guide and storyteller will tell you stories that have been passed down through the generations. Included are visits to significant historical sites in Tauranga. You will gain an indepth insight into the Māori culture that is not just a window to the culture. Be prepared to learn some Māori language as well! On our return to the Port of Tauranga we travel through Kiwifruit orchards and what is known as the Kiwifruit Capital of the World.
